Brodix cylinder head sets awarded to IMCA Late Model
regular season, special series champions & top rookies

MENA, Ark. (Jan. 25) Brodix will award cylinder head sets to both champions and rookies of the year for the regular IMCA Sunoco Late Model point season and in the Deery Brothers Summer Series.

The Late Model point season runs from Friday, April 28 through Sunday, Aug. 27. Driversą best 20 feature finishes out of their first 50 starts will be used to determine national standings.

Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City hosts the opening event in the 20th annual Late Model tour, which also sports dates at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Boone Speedway, Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Davenport Speedway, Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Highway 3 Raceway at Allison, I-35 Speedway in Mason City, Independence Motor Speedway, the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Marshalltown Speedway, Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Quad City Speedway in East Moline, Ill., and Quincy, Ill., Raceway.

No change has been made in eligibility for rookie status: Drivers cannot have competed in more than four sanctioned events to be considered rookies on either a national or Deery Series basis. They are also required to sign and return a registration form, published in the points section of the IMCA newsletter, by Aug. 1.
Located in Mena, Ark., Brodix has been a fixture of IMCA's Late Model division since the introduction of the spec motor a decade ago. Information about Brodix-made cylinder heads is available by calling 479 394-1075 or at the www.brodix.com website.

"I am already aware of at least four drivers who plan on competing for Deery Brothers and/or national Late Model rookie of the year award in 2006, and programs like the one Brodix has consistently put together continue to provide great incentive to do so," IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. "With some of the changes in place, I think it will be a very exciting year for both the Deery series and the weekly pursuit of a national championship."
