Late Season Schedule Changes

MLRA - (September 2, 2011) - On the heels of the Lucas Oil MLRA's last event, the AAA Missouri, State Fair Championships held in Sedalia , MO, the series has made some late season schedule adjustments. As first announced in mid July, the series will sit idle this coming weekend. There was a two race weekend originally planned for Friday September 2nd at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE and Saturday September 3rd at Heartland Park in Topeka, KS. The I-80 Speedway event was rescheduled as part of the Cornhusker weekend on September 23rd and 24th. The Heartland Park date was moved to Thursday October 6th, just ahead of the Lakeside Speedway weekend.

With Lakeside's cancellation due to flooding, this has left a small hole in the schedule, which series officials hope to have resolved in the coming days. Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, KS has also decided to move their Thunder on the Hill two day event to September 23rd and 24th. The series has bowed out of this event, as it conflicts with the aforementioned Cornhusker. One thing is for certain, West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO will host the two day season finale for the Lucas Oil MLRA and crown the 2011 Champion.

Stay tuned to mlraracing.com and series correspondence over the next few weeks and decisions and details become available concerning the conclusion of the Lucas Oil MLRA season.
