Lebanon Midway Speedway Schedules Show-Me Series Event
by: Ronnie Williams

Lebanon, Mo (Jan. 16, 2006) -The staff at the Lebanon Midway Speedway and the Show-Me Racin Series have come together to schedule a special Late Model event on Friday Night Aug.11th as the Show-Me Series will make it's first ever points event at the 3/8ths mile clay oval.

The Midway will be running this season the Fastrak Late Model cars and Show-Me Series owner and president Ken Essary feels he has a good way to allow the 2 Late Model Series to compete after running a special challange race last season.
"About 9-10 of my drivers went to the Midway Last season for this challange race and both series were close." quoted Essary.

"I'm going to allow them to run the Goodyear tires with my series event and will probably have the Fastrak Late Models take some weight off in my Series events."
The Show-Me Racin Series has a very strong field of drivers competing each show with them and the concept is based on the IMCA Spec Late Model Motor. Last season they averaged over 20 Late Models per event.

Track Owner Harold Armstrong and Essary talked several times over this winter and at the Springfield Racers Reunion Sat Night the date was set.
"I'm excited to bring the Series in and with Kenny working to allow my Fastrak Late Models to run with them and not cost them alot of changes and money makes it even more exciting." quoted Armstrong.

"We are looking at maybe a couple of more shows as we like to bring a variety of racing to our fans at the Midway. Kenny has been working on a very good schedule that is both driver friendly and track friendly.

The Midway has been working on more improvements during the off-season and has been working to finish the 2006 schedule. Also scheduled on the card that night is regular points racing in Modifieds, Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Winged Sprints, and Bombers. A Ladies powderpuff is scheduled to run after the races that evening.
