Jimmy Owens Wins Show-Me 100, Alphabet Soup Up Next!

WHEATLAND, MO (May28, 2011) - Newport, Tennessee's Jimmy Owens gets his first Show-Me 100 victory. Owens rolled the topside of Lucas Oil Speedway to perfection in his Bloomquist Race Car. Owens took the lead from Don O'Neal on lap 82 when O'Neal was held up by lapped traffic. Scott Bloomquist mounted a late charge, but came up just short at the line. This will be the first ever late model race broadcast on Network Television.The Dart Show-Me 100 will air Sunday, June 19th on CBS.

The Lucas Oil MLRA will make an annual stop at the Alphabet Soup Race in Greenwood, Nebraska. Tonight's event will kick off at 5:30 with hot laps at I-80 Speedway. Racing will begin at 5:55 P.M. Tickets for the $5,000 to win event are $20 for adults, $5 for Juniors ages 6-15 with kids age 5 and under FREE! Don't miss this action packed annual race!
