April 8th is Opening day at 24 Raceway

Moberly, MO. (Feb. 24, 2006) - Opening day is on April 8th with season ticket prices set at $10 for adults and $5 for kids, ages 6 to 12. Five year olds and under are free. This year's pit pass will cost $22 per night. A laminated and coded 2006 season pass to the bleachers for all 26 racings dates is available for a $200 fee.

Additionally, on the prior weekend for both the daytime hours of April 1st & 2nd, the track will be available for practice time from Noon to dusk for qualified drivers of all classes with a $10 admission per person entering the pit area along with a signed release. This includes late models and sprints (and this will likley generate some chatter on the internet sites).

Bleacher viewing is free.

Now for the "shine and show" car and racecar show on the afternoon of Saturday, April 8: This is planned to take place on the grounds of 24 Raceway, 2 miles east of Moberly, up front, in the grass area & near Highway 24. Concessions will be open and set up near the track's entrance into the bleacher area. More details on this to come in the next release.

So, come on out for the afternoon, enjoy the first day of April and stay for the Saturday evening Opening Nite for the 2006 racing season, beginning with hot laps at 6pm and racing at 7pm. See ya Saturday nite at the races with Dirt Track Racing at its Best. Race time is 7pm.
