PRITCHARD FAMILY AUTO STORES CONTINUES AS TITLE SPONSOR OF HANCOCK COUNTY SPEEDWAY
by: Jeff Nun

BRITT, Iowa (Jan. 19, 2006) -- Renewing their support of the drivers and fans of the Hancock County Speedway, Pritchard Family Auto Stores has signed on for a second season as the title sponsor of the popular 3/8-mile clay oval in Britt, Iowa, officials from RL Promotions announced today.

"We are proud to announce that Pritchard Family Auto Stores will once again be the title sponsor of HCS," said track operator Todd Staley. "Their support of this great racetrack was instrumental in helping us get through our second season at Britt, and we are thrilled to have them back along for the ride again in 2006 as we continue to move forward in rebuilding Iowa's Action Track."

Since 1929, the Pritchard family has been serving North Central Iowa and South Central Minnesota with their automobile needs. Whether you are looking to purchase a new or used car, or just needing to have your vehicle serviced, Pritchard Family Auto Stores have that Midwestern philosophy of hard work for a fair price which has brought generations of people back for nearly 80 years.

The Pritchard family's ability to be in business and serve the people of North Iowa and beyond for all these years is a credit to their qualified and loyal employees.

In 1994 Chrysler of Forest City was added to the Pritchard family business, Lake Mills Motor Company and Fred Hoiberg's Clarion Auto Center were opened in 2004 and now Clear Lake this year. Now with the six dealerships covering North Iowa, the Pritchard family businesses offer new Ford, Mercury, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Cadillac and GMC vehicles, plus over 200 pre-owned vehicles. This is a far cry from the humble beginnings in 1913 and proof that Pritchard Family Auto Stores enjoy the challenge to stay a step ahead of the competition.

On Wednesday, January 18, a new three-year deal was signed that will see RL Promotions continue to handle the racing operations through the 2008 season.

"We have several things that will be happening this year," said Staley. "Some of the special events will include powder puff races, King of the Hill events for all classes, teacher features and different promotions with schools, mechanics and more.

"In addition to all this, the Hancock County Fairboard is really getting behind the track and will be putting up brand new Qualite Lighting."

Officials are also working to hire a dedicated manager for the racetrack, Staley added.

Special events planned for the 2006 season include an IRA Outlaw Sprint Car Series race during the Hancock County Fair in June, the annual Stock Car Shootout and two O'Reilly USMTS events.

As part of the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series, a lucrative season-ending points fund has been established for all classes. Modified, Stock Car, B-Mod and Hobby Stock drivers will also be eligible to compete for national points fund awards from the USRA and American Race Tires.

The 2006 season opener at the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Hancock County Speedway will feature the O"Reilly USMTS Pro Modifieds on Friday, April 7, for the 2nd Annual Iowa Spring Challenge.
