First Annual QCRI Show Opens Saturday

Davenport, Iowa (Feb. 1, 2006) - Racers, fans, and other motorsports enthusiasts will have reason to start their engines this Saturday, February 4th, for the Quad Cities Racing Industry Show. The QCRI Show will be held at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds Expo Building in Davenport.

The event includes a swap meet, trade show, auction, and racer’s party. The swap meet and trade show begin at 8:00am and conclude at 4:00pm, when the auction starts. The racer’s party will start following the auction.

Over three dozen vendors will be on hand with new and used auto racing parts,
racing apparel, safety equipment, tools, toys, collectibles, tires, wheels, engines, helmets, vinyl graphics, vintage photos, videos, and other miscellaneous items.

In addition to items for sale, several area promoters will also be at the show to discuss 2006 rules and schedules. The show will also have and on-site shock dyno, slot cars, and a dirt track racing simulator!

A “Doors for Dollars” silent auction will be held from 8am to 3pm. Door panels from the area’s top races will be sold with the proceeds going to Speedway Fire Rescue, who provides safety crews for area race tracks.
