BLOOMFIELD, IOWA (May 24, 2014) – Mountain-Dew Bloomfield Speedway saw 55 entries checked in on Davis County Hospital and Emergency Medical Services Night at the races. It also included the first appearance of the season for the J & J Ag Modifieds to the Davis County Fairgrounds.

First feature of the night was the Mike’s Tire and Alignment Sport Mods 18 lapper. Before a lap was completed the caution came out when a handful of cars got together in turn three. On the restart, it was Austin Howes taking the lead which he held on too until lap five when Ryan Fullenkamp grabbed it away. Fullenkamp began to pull away and the only thing that slowed him down was lap traffic. Jason McDaniel came home in the runner up spot with Brandon Dale, Scott VanBuskirk and Derek Liles rounding ou the top five.

In the Kirkland Auto Hobby stocks 16 lap feature, it was Ben Grove leading the first three laps before Dustin Griffiths grabbed the lead and pull away to take the checkered first again. Doug Gorden Jr came home in second, Mike Kincaid was third, Andrew Hustead was fourth and Aaron Martin in fifth.
Up next was the first appearance of the J & J Ag Modified division. Only six cars signed in to do battle so the feature was set to go 14 laps. Tyler Cale led lap one but it was Andrew Schroeder taking the lead away on lap two. Schroeder went on to win by a full straightaway over Jeff Mueller. Cale finished 3rd, Jared Fuller was 4th and Mark Winkel was 5th.

The Kollison Korner Sport Compacts saw Trent Orwig take the lead early in a borrowed race car from fellow competitor Matt Moore. Orwig lead until lap four when Austin Becerra worked his way through the field to take the lead. Becerra went on to win by a full straightaway over Orwig. Tim Bevins came home third, Kimberly Abbott edged out Aaron Bridgeman at the line for fourth.

Final feature of the night was the Taylor Automotive Stock Cars. Again it was Mike Hughes taking the lead on the opening lap but Derek Kirkland had the lead on lap two. Hughes grabbed it back and went on to take the win. Jerry Pilcher would finish second, Derrick Agee was third, Derek Kirkland was fourth and Doug Sylvester was fifth.
