Lil’ Racer Car Club Chuck a Duck for a Buck Hawkeye Downs Racing

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (July 23, 2014) — Caseys General Stores, a longtime supporter of Hawkeye Downs Racing, presents racing in five divisions at historic Hawkeye Downs Speedway this Friday night, July 25.

Fans can visit their neighborhood Caseys, buy a Pepsi product, and receive a FREE ticket for Caseys Night at the Races!

Sunline Hornets, Dublin City Pub Legends, Barron Motor Supply Hobby Stocks, and Mountain Dew Sportsmen will battle for track points and Hard Charger Series points on the quarter-mile while the Carpetland USA Late Models compete on the fast Hawkeye Downs half-mile.

There are some great point battles still being waged on the track including a tie between Nathan Ballard and Matt Petrzelka in Barron Motor Supply Hobby Stocks!

The Dodge Street Tire Lil Racer Car Club will be on hand as usual with an activity even adults can get in on. It’s the return of Chuck a Duck!  Fans can rent a duck (or two or three) for $1 each. Fans then chuck their duck at a target with a chance to win a pair of four day passes for the 2014 Knoxville Nationals! Rent you duck at the Lil’Racer Booth under the main grandstand.

Fans should plan on arriving early for “Happy Hour at the ‘Downs” featuring 2-for-1 Tallboys until 7pm! And, $2 Hot Dogs and Brats all night long from Hy-Vee Concessions!

Hawkeye Downs and Hy-Vee have again teamed up to offer a new and improved concessions menu this season along with the return of Pepsi Products for 2014.

The Front Gate and Concessions open at 6pm with Hot Laps slated for 6:30 pm. Pre-Race Ceremonies will begin at 7:23pm with the first race at 7:30pm.

For those without FREE Tickets from Caseys- Adult admission is STILL just $10, Senior Citizens (62+) are $7, Students over 12 are just $5, College Students are just $5 with a valid ID and Children 12 and Under are absolutely FREE!
