Dean McGee won his first Ryner Transportation IMCA Modified feature of the year at 34 Raceway Saturday night holding off Bill Roberts, Jr., in a close finish. Darrow Lillie and Dustan Fenton sat on the front row of the fourteen car field but it would be McGee taking the lead on the first lap of the twenty lap race. McGee led the entire race first holding off Mitch Morris, then Jeff Waterman. When a yellow flag came out with one lap to go, that set up a green, white checkered finish. With Bill Roberts in the third spot behind McGee and Waterman  the yellow worked to his advantage as he moved into the second spot and challenged McGee on the final lap. The two crossed the finish line bumper to bumper with McGee holding off Roberts for the win. Morris holds a narrow one point lead over Roberts in the point standings with Jeff Waterman just six points behind Roberts.

Daniel Keltner raced to his third Coors Light Mod Lite feature win at 34 Raceway taking the lead from Collin Ball on lap three of the twelve lap feature. Keltner ran into lap traffic on the final lap but was able to maneuver around them and went on to take the checkered flag by several car lengths. Ball followed in second  with Justin Buchholz, Devon Rouse and Michael Dominguez rounding out the top five. Keltner leads the point standings with 341 followed by Buchholz with 299 and Ball with 283 in the top three spots.

A nice field of sixteen Casebine Credit Union IMCA Sport Mods took to the track for the third feature race of the night with  Dakota Simons and Scott Williams on the front row. Simons took the first lap and lead the next six circuits before a yellow flag would come out on lap seven.  Joey Gower would then take over the lead on the restart and would pull away to take the checkered flag for the second time this season. Following two red flags on the first two tries at the start when Cody Werhle flipped on the first try and John Schulz in the #73 flipped on the second try , they were off and racing with Glasgow taking the lead. Glasgow’s lead was cut short when Donnie Steward raced by on the third lap to take over the number one spot. Steward would pull ahead and was running smooth when on lap fifteen a sudden puff of smoke emerged from his car and Steward would come to a stop on the front stretch ending his night. When racing resumed it was Shane Quam in the lead and and he would hold off Glasgow for his first win this year. Daniel Bergquist, Jayson Ditsworth and Justin Newberry would round out the top five. It’s a real battle in the 305 sprint point standings with four points separating the first through third spots. Justin Newberry leads the point race with 324 followed closely by Daniel Bergquist with 323 and Jayson Ditsworth with 320.

The Pepsi IMCA Stock Cars capped off the night with a thriller. Jake Wenig took the lead from Randy Wachter on lap four of the fifteen lap, fourteen car field. Bowling was able to get by Wenig on lap nine but wouldn’t hold it as Wenig got the lead back on the same lap. On lap twelve of the fifteen lapper the leaders would run in to lap traffic but Wenig was able to move around them and would go on to take the checkered flag  with Bowling on his bumper for an exciting finish. John Oliver would follow to finish third and Dane Fenton and Shane Watts rounded out the top five. Ray Raker would move up from his thirteenth position start to finish sixth.
