“Memphis Fall Nationals” to Close Out the 2016 Season at the Scotland County Speedway

Memphis, MO (Thursday, October 20, 2016) – Just three weeks from hosting the “Bottom Heavy Nationals”, the Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, Missouri will play host to it’s final racing event of 2016 this weekend. The annual “Memphis Fall Nationals” will be held this Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd. Which is also race seven and eight a nine race fall special events at three tracks in the area.

 

In action both nights this weekend will be the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, Hobby Stocks, and Sport Compacts, with the Lee County Late Models joining the card on Saturday night. Both nights will be a complete show, with a full payout each night. All drivers will draw for there starting spot in the heat races each night, with a redraw being used to help determine the feature line-ups.

 

Each night the Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win and $125 guaranteed to start the feature. While the Stock Cars and SportMods are racing for $1,000 to win and $100 guaranteed to start the feature. The Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts are racing for $300 to win each night. Entry fees for each night will be $50 for the Modifieds, Stock Cars, and SportMods, with the Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts having NO entry fee each night.

 

Thanks to Curt Marks of Dubuque Moving & Storage out of Dubuque, Iowa the Lee County Late Models will race Saturday for $1,000 to win, with NO entry fee.

 

The complete payout for each night will be the following: MODIFIEDS – 1. $1,000, 2. $600, 3. $400, 4. $300, 5. $250, 6. $200, 7. $150, 8. $140, 9. $135, 10. $130, 11.-24. $125 TOW $75…STOCK CARS & SPORTMODS – 1. $1,000, 2. $500, 3. $350, 4. $250, 5. $200, 6. $150, 7. $140, 8. $130, 9. $120, 10. $110, 11. $105, 12.-24. $100 TOW $75.

 

Before Friday nights action gets started a practice will be held from 3 PM until 5 PM, with a fee of $25 per car being charged. Then Hot Laps on Friday will begin at 7 PM, with Racing to follow. On Saturday Hot Laps will get started at 6 PM, with Racing to follow. Grandstand admission for each night will be adults $15, students (7-16) $7, and kids 6 & under FREE! Pit passes each night will be $30, ages (7-13) $20, ages (3-6) $10, and ages 2 & under $3. Or a two day pit pass will be offered on Friday for $55.

 

A bonus of $200 for any Modified, Stock Car, and SportMod driver who has a perfect attendance at all nine fall special events is still being offered, while any Hobby Stock driver will receive $150 and any Sport Compact driver will receive $100 for perfect attendance at all nine fall specials. This bonus will be pro rated with any cancellations, and will be paid out at Shiverfest. Here is the schedule for the remaining nine race fall specials:

Saturday, October 29th – Shiverfest at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA

 

The following rules will apply at all nine fall special events: A Working Raceceivers Mandatory In All Classes – 454.000NON STAMPED HOOSIER’S ALLOWED ON FRONT ONLY……NO GROOVED TIRES ON REAR IN ANY CLASS!!!MODIFIEDS – IMCA Rules Apply except for the following: Hoosier or American Racer G60 tires may be grooved on the front…Non IMCA legal cars must run 25 lbs. in front of mid plate…All Aluminum headed motors must add 50 lbs. of lead on front by the motor…Roller motors and stud girdles are legal…Quick change rear ends are legal…Fuel pump on transmission is legal…Front tubular is okay…7800 RPM chip with all open motors…Rear suspension must be IMCA legal…NO Spoilers…STOCK CARS – IMCA Rules Apply with the following allowed: Hoosier or American Racer G60 tires may be grooved on the front…Aftermarket blocks are okay…SPORTMODS – IMCA or USRA Rules Apply with the following allowed: Hoosier or American Racer G60 tires may be grooved on the front…USRA legal SportMods must run NO Spoiler…HOBBY STOCKS – IMCA Rules Apply with floater rend ends allowed….SPORT COMPACTS – IMCA Rules Apply.
