WINSTON, MO (Oct. 10, 2015) –  E-Modifieds would charge to the track starting the night of great racing action in the Open-Wheel Nationals at I-35 Speedway.  The feature would see many lead changes as heat race winner Jorden Dawson #J90 would charge to the early lead until other heat race winner Paul Lanfermann II #16g would take over the top spot.  Lanfermann would slip in turns one and two allowing Kit Bailey #77 to inherit the lead.  Bailey would lead several circuits until Jason Estes #20x would pass Bailey appearing to be the car to beat.  Other heat race winner Corey Myers #15 would save his equipment until he needed it most, using a daring move in the final turn of the final lap to claim victory by less than a bumper.  Myers would stand tall in McCarthy Auto Group Winner’s Circle with Estes placing a very close second.  Early leader Bailey would place third leaving Lanfermann to fourth.  Rookie contender Robert Fisk #31b would round out the night’s top five.

Midwest Lightning Sprints would keep the excitement rolling at the McCarthy Auto Group Show Me Spectacular.  Heat race winner Mark Billings #60e would launch to the front and never be challeneged on his way to victory lane.  The Midwest Lightning Sprints 2015 Champion Tom Brown #B20 would rally late to place second with Mike Trent #85 finishing third.  Other heat race winner Beau Heavelow #4 would finish a strong fourth as Jason Tanner #T20 would place fifth.

USRA B-Modifieds would see a familiar face in victory lane as Doug Keller #77 would use a heat race win and front row starting position to lead every lap on his way to the feature win.  Current point leader Tim Eaton #211 would use the high line to his advantage and race his way to place second. Randy Ainsworth #57 would battle Blake Pierce #16 to the checkers with Ainsworth third and Pierce placing fourth.  Troy Carlyle #44 would recover from an early race mishap and end the feature fifth.  Other heat race winner Bud Wilson #77x was in the hunt early until engine problems would force him from contention.  Other heat race winner Chase Galvan #0 would also be among the leaders until a turn four mishap would force him from the feature.

Non-Wing Sprint Cars would not disappoint those in attendance as heat race winner Chad Goff #9x would take the early lead and appear to be on cruise control until a mid-race caution.  Coming back to the green on a restart the leader Goff would exit the track with mechanical issues turning the lead over to Mitchell Moore #51.  Moore would use a smooth line to hold off the hard charge of second place finisher Cody Baker #38 to claim the big paycheck and win on this night of racing action.  Danny Thoman #27 would race his way to third with Wyatt Burks #11 who was big mover of the feature placing fourth.  Bradlee Ryun #19n was among the front runners the entire race and would place fifth.  Other heat race winners were Chad Tye #88 and Chris Desselle #21c.

USRA Modifieds were the feature of the night with great racing action throughout the twenty-six strong feature.  Heat race winner Zach Sanders #69 would take the early lead and pull away from the field until a caution would bunch the field back up.  On the restart Sanders would slip as other heat race winner Darren Shaw #11 would use the high line to perfection taking the lead.  Shaw would continue to lead until midway through the race when mechanical issues would force him to the pits and out of contention.  Robbie Reed #5 would race from deep in the field passing all challengers to pick up his third feature win at I-35 Speedway this 2015 racing season and the $2000 payday at the McCarthy Auto Group Show Me Spectacular.  Big mover of the feature would see point leader Dennis Elliott #29 fly through the pack and land a solid second place.  Cory Wray #69n and other heat race winner Terry Schultz #90 would battle wheel to wheel to the line with Wray placing third and Shultz fourth.  Aaron Marrant #70, who would also come from deep in the pack, would round out the night’s top five.  Other heat race winner was Matt Dotson #88d who was among the front runners until mechanical issues would force him from the race.

The big race of the night was held during Intermission as the first annual Power Wheels Spectacular was a roaring success as the kids on board were all smiles.  As the lineups were set and the green flag dropped Allie Miller #76 would charge to the lead.  Allie would not be denied as she would pick up the feature win and first place trophy on this night.  Timothy Kinser #32 would use a late race pass to finish second as Bristol Hicks #78 would finish third.  Fourth place finisher Creed Wilson #75 would start from the pole position but fade in the latter stages when he forgot to make the turn around the cone.  Rounding out the top five driving the John Deere Tractor was Cayden St. John.  Mitch Booher’s daughter Evy #22b was in a close battle with Jake Hoover #21h to the checkers.  Thanks to all the kids as each would receive a trophy for their efforts.

I-35 Speedway would like to thank everyone for making the McCarthy Auto Group Show Me Spectacular a success in 2015.  See everyone back in two weeks for Championship Night and more “Dirt Trackin at its Best”.
