New Contingency Partners Announced for Lucas Oil MLRA

WHEATLAND, MO (March 25th, 2015) – Three new and distinct racing companies have joined the ever-growing list of contingency partners for the upcoming season with the Lucas Oil MLRA. These companies will provide specific product awards throughout the season and also awards at the season ending championship banquet. Wehrs Machine & Racing Products, RaceNote and Real Racing Wheels are all confirmed for 2015.

“The contingency program is a great way for many companies to give back to the racers and help the series too,” said Lucas Oil MLRA Series Director Dan Robinson. “These companies are always on the cutting edge of performance. They manufacture and develop products which stand up to the demands of our talented racers. We are glad to have them involved in the series.”

Wehrs Machine & Racing Products located in Bangor, Wisconsin, manufactures high quality racing components for a variety of racing applications. Wehrs Machine & Racing Products is the choice of many top Dirt Late Model teams, and their products are used extensively in the Lucas Oil MLRA. With a 17 year track record of success and performance, Wehrs Machine strives to innovate, not imitate. Product awards include a $50 product certificate to a random finishing position in every main event. The top five point earners will also receive a $100 certificate at season’s end. Neither award requires a minimum purchase to redeem.

“We’re proud to partner with a professional organization like Lucas Oil and the MLRA,” said Gus Farmer, National Sales Director for Wehrs Machine & Racing Products. “We have a strong focus in Dirt Late Model racing and providing what the customer needs. We’re glad to do our part by giving back a little.”

A newer company in the industry, RaceNote, has spread like wildfire in the last year. RaceNote is an all encompassing program designed to improve the overall racing program for all competitors. RaceNote offers note taking and organization for a quick reference from most all devices. It works regardless of an internet connection, and includes many neat features such as a parts inventory section and a parts wear indicator. Different packages are available depending on team specific needs. RaceNote will be giving away a subscription to the crew chief whose car passes the most cars in the feature events throughout the course of the season.

We’re really looking forward to being part of the MLRA for 2015,” commented RaceNote Team Manager Dusty Reynolds. “As a company, we strive to work alongside of the best teams, tracks and companies. So, for obvious reasons it makes sense for us to partner with MLRA.”

Real Racing Wheels based in Independence, Iowa, began as a division of Boubin Tire & Automotive in 1992. A growing frustration over delivery times for a wheel they were selling, led them to develop their own. Thus came Real Racing Wheels. Made 100% in the USA, from all American materials, Real Racing Wheels are not always the cheapest, but strive to be the best product available to the racer. Many customers exclaim that Real Wheels are just a better wheel! Real Wheels will provide one wheel certificate per race, and also a complete set of wheels at the year end banquet.

“We’re happy to be on board with the Lucas Oil MLRA,” commented Real Wheels representative Troy Boubin. “It’s exciting for us to be involved with one of the premiere Midwestern Late Model tours. We started at Lucas Oil Speedway several years ago and are glad to expand to the MLRA. We manufacture the lightest wheel on the market, and are hoping to hear driver feedback on how we can continue to make our wheels better.”

The Lucas Oil MLRA roars back to action April 3-4 for the Annual Spring Meltdown at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. It marks the first of three stops at the Kosiski family oval for the season.
