Shiverfest and Fall Extravaganza End The 2012 Season at the Lee County Speedway

DONNELLSON, IA (September 23, 2012) – The 14th Annual Shiverfest and 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza will round out the 2012 season at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa. Both events will be ran under the new promoter for 2013 Mike Van Genderen, who also promotes the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa. 

The 14th Annual Shiverfest will kick off on Friday, October 12th with an open practice night. Pit gates and grandstands will open at 5pm, with the first practice secession set for 7pm. Pit passes for the night will be $15, with the grandstands FREE! 

Then on Saturday, October 13th will be hay rack rides, trick or treating and racing action in six divisions. Pit gates will open at 3pm, grandstands at 3:30pm, with hot laps set for 5:30pm and racing action set for 6pm. But before all the great racing takes to he track, hay rack rides will take place from 4pm to 5pm. Following the hay rack rides will be the trick or treating sponsored by the drivers from 5pm until 5:30pm. 

Grandstand admission on Saturday, October 13th will be Adults $9, Seniors (60+) $7, Students (7-14) $5 and Children under 6 FREE! Pit passes will be Adults $25, Kids (7-13) $15 and children under 6 $10. 

The Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, Sport Compacts, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Hobby Stocks will all be in action on the night. The Modifieds will follow all IMCA rules, with the exception of American Racer or Hoosier G60 tires will be allowed, all aluminum headed motors must have 50lbs of lead in front of the motor plate, roller motors and stud girdles are legal, along with quick change rear ends and a fuel pump on transmission is legal. The Stock Cars and SportMods must follow all IMCA rules, with the exception of American Racer or Hoosier G60 tires will be allowed. Modifieds, Stock Cars and SportMods will be allowed to groove both tires on the front. The IMCA Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts will follow all IMCA rules. While the Outlaw Hobby Stocks will follow Donnellson, 34 Raceway and Quincy, IL rules. 

There is no license, track registration fee or entry fee for Shiverfest on Saturday, October 13th. 

Following Shiverfest will be the 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza on Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th presented by Discount Tire & Service of Keokuk, IA. In action both nights will be the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Outlaw Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. 

The top 6 from each feature will lock themselves into Saturday nights Main events. 

Friday, October 19th the pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands at 5:30pm, with hot laps at 6:45pm and racing at 7:15pm. Grandstand admission will be Adults $10, Seniors (60+) $8, Students (7-14) $5 and Children under 6 FREE! Pit passes will be Adults $25, Students (7-13) $15, and Children under 6 $10. Or a two day pit pass for Adults will be offered for $50. 

The final night of the 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza on Saturday, October 20th will once again feature racing action in the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Outlaw Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. The Modifieds will follow all IMCA rules, with the exception of American Racer or Hoosier G60 tires will be allowed, all aluminum headed motors must have 50lbs of lead in front of the motor plate, roller motors and stud girdles are legal, along with quick change rear ends and a fuel pump on transmission is legal. The Stock Cars and SportMods must follow all IMCA rules, with the exception of American Racer or Hoosier G60 tires will be allowed. All non-qualified cars from Friday and any new cars (will race for half the purse) will redraw for heats, with semis ran in any class if necessary. The Modified will be racing for $1,500 to win and $200 to start, with a $100 tow. While the Stock Cars and SportMods will be going for $1,200 to win and $150 to start, with a $75 tow. IMCA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Hobby Stocks will be going for $500 to win, with the Sport Compacts racing for $400 to win and $75 to start. 

Saturday, October 20th the pit gates will open at 3:30pm, grandstands at 4:30pm, with hot laps at 5:30pm and racing at 6pm. Grandstand admission will be Adults $12, Seniors (60+) $10, Students (7-14) $5 and Children under 6 FREE! Pit passes will be Adults $30, Students (7-13) $15, and Children under 6 $10. 

There is no license or track registration fee, but there is an entry fee for the 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza. Early entry by October 13th for the Modifieds is $75, Stock Cars and SportMods will be $60, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Hobby Stocks are $50, and Sport Compacts $40. The late entry fee after October 13th will be Modifieds $85, Stock Cars and SportMods $70, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Hobby Stocks $60, and Sport Compacts $50. 

But one thing to keep in mind is if you send your early entry fee in for the 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza by Saturday, October 13th the driver will be given a FREE pit pass for Shiverfest on Saturday, October 13th. So get your entry sent in early to come race for FREE on Shiverfest night. 

Another thing to keep in mind is the chance for a driver to win a FREE Season Pit Pass to be awarded at the track of there choice for the 2013 season, at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA or the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA. 

The winner of the Fall points in the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods and IMCA Hobby Stocks will be awarded a Drivers Season Pit Pass for the 2013 season to be used at the track of there choice. To be eligible they must compete in the final 4 events in October to be held at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA, the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA and the Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, MO.

-Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th the 26th Annual MUSCO Lighting Fall Challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA

-Saturday, October 13th the 14th Annual Shiverfest at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA

-Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th the 1st Annual Fall Extravaganza at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA

-Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th the Memphis Fall Nationals at the Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, MO
