The 3rd Annual Fall Extravaganza Set For This Weekend at the Lee County Speedway

Donnellson, IA (Tuesday, October 7, 2014) – After six weeks since the regular points season ended, the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA is set to get back into action this weekend with the 3rd Annual Fall Extravaganza presented by Hy-Vee of Fort Madison and Keokuk, Iowa, Budweiser, PEPSI Memphis Bottling Co., and Armstrong Small Engine Sales & Service. The action will kick off on Friday, October 10th, with heats, semis and features being held in all five classes. Then will conclude on Saturday, October 11th, with heats, semis and features once again being held in all five classes.

Alot of money is on the line for all five classes each night, as the Budweiser Modifieds will be going for a top prize of $1,000 to win and $100 to start both Friday and Saturday. While the Donnellson Tire Stock Cars and Shottenkirk Parts Express SportMods will be gunning for a top prize of $1,000 to win and $85 to start both Friday and Saturday. The Coor’s Light Hobby Stocks will be going for $500 to win and $65 to start, while the Sunline Auto Parts Sport Compacts are racing for $300 to win and $50 to start both Friday and Saturday.

All the action will kick off on Friday, October 10th with the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts all drawing for their starting spots in the heat races, with semis being ran where needed to be. The nights action will conclude with features in all five classes.

Saturday, October 11th will be the final night. All drivers will once again draw for their starting spots in the heat races, with semis being ran where need be. Then to finish off the weekend the Budweiser Modifieds, the Donnellson Tire Stock Cars and Shottenkirk Parts Express SportMods will be racing for $1,000 to win, while the Coor’s Light Hobby Stocks will be gunning for a top prize of $500 and the Sunline Auto Parts Sport Compacts racing for $300 to win.

Don’t forget the pit gates and grandstands will open on Friday at 5:00 pm, with hot laps at 7:00 pm, and racing at 7:30 pm. Then Saturday the pit gates and grandstands will swing open at 4:30 pm, with hot laps set for 6:00 pm, and racing starting at 6:30 pm.

Pit passes for Friday are $30, ages 7-13 $20, and ages 6 & under $10, while grandstand prices will be adults $15, students (11-17) $7, and kids 10 & under FREE! Saturday nights pit passes will be $30, ages 7-13 $20, and ages 6 & under $10, while the grandstands will be adults $15, students (11-13) $7, and kids 10 & under FREE!

There is any entry fee that will be required to be paid on Friday and Saturday night before you can draw for your starting spot. Those are $50 for the Budweiser Modifieds, $45 for the Donnellson Tire Stock Cars and Shottenkirk Parts Express SportMods, $30 for the Coor’s Light Hobby Stocks, and $25 for the Sunline Auto Parts Sport Compacts. You do not have to race Friday to be able to race on Saturday, as they are two complete shows. But you will still have to pay the entry fee of $50 for the Budweiser Modiifeds, $45 for the Donnellson Tire Stocks and Shottenkirk Parts Express SportMods, $30 for the Coor’s Light Hobby Stocks, and $25 for the Sunline Auto Parts Sport Compacts.

Camping with showers are available for the weekend. Anybody wishing to have electrical hook ups will be charged $20 per night. Those who wish to camp out can bring there campers with them on Friday and make a weekend out of it. Plus there are 3 suites available for this weekend, which can be rented for $60 for 1 night or $100 for the whole weekend.
