WaKeeney Speedway hosts March 30 Spring Fling

WaKEENEY, Kan. (March 26) – WaKeeney Speedway’s season-opening Spring Fling special is this Sunday, with IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds headlining the March 30 program.

The $1,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event pays a minimum of $100 to start.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $750 to win and a minimum of $100 to start their Dirt Track Central Jax Sports Grille Great Plains Se­ries feature.

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win. Both those features pay a minimum of $50. Mach-1 Sport Compacts join the card, running for $200 to win and a minimum of $25 to start.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, re­gional, Allstar Performance state and local track points will be awarded in all divisions.

Pit gates open at noon and the grandstand opens at 1 p.m. Hot laps follow the 2 p.m. drivers’ meeting and racing starts at 3 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30. There is a one-time track registration fee of $25 for all cars.
