Cedar County Raceway Hosts 286 Racers For Doubleheader Racing Weekend
Titpon, Iowa (July 26, 2025) – The Darkside Promotions team of Ryan Duhme and Tim Current hosted two big nights of Stock Car Racing at the Cedar County Raceway in Tipton this last weekend with two complete race programs being run. Friday nights show was the 32nd annual running of the Gary Reinhart Memorial and Saturday nights show was a special event with normal support classes, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks being elevated to the premier classes.
The Gary Reinhart Memorial saw 145 race teams enter for the nights action with the IMCA Modifieds headlining the program, 27 entries took the green flag for the 30 lap main event with a whopping $2,000 going to the winner. When the checkered flag flew following an action packed thrilling main event it was Spencer Diercks of Davenport making his way to victory lane. Diercks took the green flag back in the fifth row and worked his way to the front out racing a stellar field of IMCA Modified drivers.
Support class winners on Friday night were, John Oliver Jr. in the IMCA Stock Car Class taking the win by .020 seconds ahead of Jeff Larson. Brayton Carter topped the IMCA Sportmod feature, an outstanding field of 33 drivers were on hand in the Sportmod Class. Leah Wroten took the win in the IMCA Hobby Stock Class. The 4 Stock checkers went to Jake Benischek, and the AIRS feature win went to Bart Miller.
Saturday nights program saw another outstanding field of 141 drivers sign in to take part in the racing program which was highlighted by the IMCA Stock Cars and the IMCA Hobby Stocks taking top billing. The IMCA Stock Cars were racing for over $2,000 in first place prize money and the large purse drew 36 entries. Kaden Reynolds drew the number 12 in the redraw for the feature alignment but the sixth row start proved to not be a problem for the youngster from Cedar Rapids. Reynolds raced to the front and took command before the main event reached the halfway point. Reynolds took the checkers well ahead of second place finisher Sheldon Oberle from Battleground, IN. Justin Wacha from Vinton took the win in the IMCA Hobby Stock main event, the win earned Wacha over $1,600 as he held off Andrew Burg for the win. Addition feature winners on Saturday night were, Brad Dierks taking the IMCA Modified feature win topping a strong 20 car feature field, Dylan VanWyk nipped Tyler Maschmann for the IMCA Sportmod win, Tyler Hawkins took the 4 Stock win, the team of Jacob Ellithorpe and Mitch Bielenberg drove to the 2 Man feature win and the Crown Vic win went to Brandon Riedner.
The Darkside Promotions team will be hosting their annual Fall Bash at the Cedar County Raceway, October 2-4th with sevceral classes of race cars taking to the quick ΒΌ mile over the action packed three nights of racing.
