Maquoketa, Iowa (August 2, 2025) –  It was Bridget Miller & Associates Farm Bureau Financial Services Night at the races on Saturday night and the fans were treated to a night packed with great racing, close finishes, a hard roll over and a disqualification following a pit altercation. The 143 drivers put on a very entertaining show with the final checkered flag waving at 10 pm.

The Kinion Auto Sales IMCA Late Models saw front row starter Doug Nigh and 10th starting Evan Miller swap the lead several times throughout the 25 lap feature. As the laps wound down and the two still battling for the lead a late race caution set up a three lap dash to the finish. The lead pack behind Nigh was scrambled and the 43LV of Logan Veloz made a late race charge to finish right on the heels of Nigh. Evan Miller held on for third ahead of Bryce Garnhart. Nigh stated in victory lane, “ this is my first win in about ten years and it feels good to finally get one here at home.” Following the Late Model race, the driver of the 11C Ryan Clayes instigated an altercation in the pit area which involved punches being thrown causing Clayes to be disqualified and sent home with no money or points for the night.

The Eastern Iowa Overhead Door IMCA Modifieds saw a strong field of 18 drivers take the green flag for their 20 lap feature. Jason Schueller took the green from the pole and led the main event flag to flag. Schueller’s win was far from easy as he was pressured early by fellow front row starter Brandon Jewell and late in the race Shane Paris was able to close on Schueller but settled for second at the finish line ahead of Jed Freiburger who ran in the lead pack the entire race.

A very strong field of 26 drivers took the initial green flag in the QCJeeps.com IMCA Stock Cars. David Brandies took the starters green flag on the pole and never relinquished the top spot but several drivers took their turns challenging the quick running 71 car. Gage Neal advanced from the sixth row and pressured Brandies late in the race but settled for a close second ahead of Kodey Miles.

The Amhof Trucking IMCA Sportmods saw a stellar field of 28 drivers take the green in their 15 lap feature. Tyler Soppe led early as Jacob Arp ran a strong second. While the leaders were racing side by side the 33 car of Jarrett Franzen was making his way to the front from a tenth position start. Franzen took the lead as the race crossed midway and Franzen went on to score the win and strengthen his point lead in the Sportmod class. Soppe crossed the line in second ahead of Arp.

The Not Quite Done Yet BBQ IMCA Hobby Stocks took the green with a field of 25 drivers making the initial start. Brandon White was recorded lap one leader before a caution flew. On the restart a front runner blew his engine sending cars spinning in the fluid and White got turned and sent off the back chute into a violent series of rollovers. White immediately jumped out of his car uninjured but the car was extensively damaged. The main event restarted and several drivers took their turns at the point position but the night belonged to hometown driver Kile Vohringer, who drove his Mopar to the feature win ahead of Karter Miles and Daniel Wauters.

The McMahon Salvage 4 Stock main event was action packed as several incidents took place in the 12 lap feature. The lead was being hotly contested and the two drivers racing for the lead, Aaron Swearingen and Jacob Welter made contact resulting in both being sent to the tail. Following a lap five restart Dustin Forbes took command and went on to score the race win over a fast closing Welter.

The AIRS cars made their third visit of the 25 season to Maquoketa on Saturday night and a nice field of 18 all American made classic race cars put on a nice race. Doug Burkhead drove his 1969 Ford Falcon to the feature win ahead of Doug Yates in his 1968 Ford Torino.

The stage is now set for the Dynamic Tube Season Championship races which will also be Back To School Night with lots of School Supplies available for the youngsters on Saturday, August 9th. All of the point championships will be decided as the regular season will come to a close setting up a busy Special Events schedule. The first Special will be the Hawkeye 100 featuring the invasion of the World of Outlaws Late Model on Friday and Saturday, August 15 & 16.
