Eldon Raceway Set To Host Michael Petersen Memorial

Eldon, Iowa (September 1, 2025) – The Super ½ mile dirt track, Eldon Raceway located on the Wapello County Fairgrounds in Eldon Iowa is set to host the annual Michael Petersen Memorial this Saturday, September 6th. The annual event will boast the largest payoff of the year thanks to the hardworking concrete workers and concrete providers in the area.
6 classes of race cars will take part in the special race night with the Stock Car Drivers gunning for the whopping $2,000 first place prize money. In addition to the exciting Stock Cars the A Modifieds, Sportmods, Hobby Stocks, 4 cylinders and the Vintage Cars will all be in action on the super fast ½ mile dirt track.
The Pit gates will open at 5 pm and the grandstands will open at 6pm this Saturday, September 6th. Hot laps will get underway at 7 pm with racing to follow.
You won’t want to miss the final racing event of 2025 at the Eldon Raceway, it will be a very special night as we honor the memory of Michael Petersen, Saturday, September 6th.
