Another great night of racing at I-35 Speedway this past Saturday night, July 12. 2025. Tonight was MOLLE Auto Group Night at the races, which brought out a packed grandstand ready to watch some racing action. We also honored Larry Kaster and the entire Kaster family for everything they have done and are still doing for dirt track racing and especially for I-35 Speedway. We welcomed back the USRA Iron Man Stockcars for the second time this racing season. As we made it through heat races and 2 B-feature races, we made our way into the feature races.

First up was the E-Modifieds. Garrett Stonum started on the front row and never looked back, taking home his first ever feature win. Tony Layne made some hard charges towards Stonum but would finish second. Nathan Hampton finished third, Coleman Browning in fourth and Jeremy Pittsenbarger rounded out the top 5.

Up next was the USRA Iron Man Stockcar feature race. Derek Green, who leads the Iron Man points standings coming into tonight, would lead a majority of the race. Then in a restart with under 5 laps to go, Pat Graham found some speed on the inside line and was able to pass Green for the win. Derek Green came home second, Doug Keller finished third after starting in 13th, Shayne Bailey finished fourth and Rodney Schweizer finished in fifth.

In Jr. Sport Compacts, Robert Miller waited until the closing laps to make a pass on Leah Whitt for the feature win. This was back-to-back wins for Miller, as Whitt would finish in second, Misty Teel third. Athena Riley is fourth and Derek Johnson in fifth.

USRA B-Modifieds had Jake Richards hold on to win his second feature race of the season. Chad Clancy found some speed late and was able to finish second, Ethan Isaacs third, Daniel Harris fourth and Lonnie Hibner snagged a top 5 finish.

In the Pure Stock feature race, we had a wild final lap. As the field was coming down the front stretch to take the white flag, we had a car roll-over coming through turns 3 and 4. Then as all the drivers were getting their cars stopped for the red flag, a different car that was also in turn 4 caught fire under the hood. Both drivers were unharmed and were able to climb out of their cars, but a very scary moment for everyone. In all the madness, James Silkwood collected his second feature win this season. Tyler Starmer led multiple laps but would finish in second, Josh Marshall third, Clint Baker started in 14th and drove his way up to a fourth place finish, and CJ Turner rounded out the Top 5.

In one of the most exciting races this season, the USRA A-Modified feature race put on a show. After some early race trouble, Tyler Hibner put his car on the highest racing line possible and ripped through the field to grab the feature win, Hibner’s fifth feature win this season. Shadren Turner led many laps before getting passed by Hibner in the closing laps and would finish second. Houston Johnson ran up front the whole race and came home third, Brad Johnson in fourth and Jory Stotts in fifth.

And just when you thought the excitement was over, the Sport Compact feature race had Grant Sheetz making a last lap pass for the win, Sheetz first feature win this season. Brad Mick led many laps before Sheetz made the pass, and Mick finished second. Ryan Hinkle finished in third, Chris Lewis fourth and Robert Chase in fifth.

Thank you to all the amazing race fans that came out and kept the energy going all night long. Thank you to all our track officials and safety crew members for keeping everyone on track and in the grandstands safe and providing an exciting night of racing. And one more big thanks to all the drivers and their crew members for bringing fast cars across all classes and your best to the track every Saturday night. We will see you all next Saturday for another action-packed night of dirt track racing. For complete results please check out Myracepass or our Facebook page.
