Jeff Aikey started fourth on the grid passed pole sitter Denny Eckrich on
lap four, built up a good size lead and was never seriously challenged as he
went on to capture his second Dart

EAST MOLINE, IL
(August 22) - On a
beautiful Sunday evening for racing the track was in such good shape only
one caution flew in the entire thirteen qualifying races at Quad City
Speedway on Extreme Auto Glass
Night. Four divisions had
repeat feature winners with only one new winner being crowned.

"I have him beat, don't I?" In the IMCA Stock Car Cash Dash, Casey Woken of
Ogallala (35JW) goes underneath leader Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa (63) on
the last lap in corner four to appear to have the lead for the moment, but
Nichols' momentum on the top side helped him win the race by a fender.

some drivers were looking for wins, others were envisioning making

County Speedway as Krajicek Enterprises paraded their big rig around the
speedway as the featured sponsor of the evening and fans were treated to an
excitement filled night on the dirt.

EDDYVILLE, IOWA (August 21)
- Tim Hay,of Burleson, Texas crashed in the final round of a Outlaw Fuel
Altered race in Eddyville, Iowa on Saturday night. Tim died from injuries
sustained in that crash. Eyewitnesses reported the car was on a good run and
about 300' smoked the tires, went sideways and ran head on into the
guardrail, rolling several times. Owner/Driver Tim Hay's Family Includes his
Wife Candy of 23 Years, Sons: Shawn 29, and T.J. 22. Daughter Kristen 20 and

Phillips continued his winning ways as he lead all 40 laps of the MARS / UMP
Clash at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL. Phillips started on the
pole and held back challenges from Ryan Unzicker of El Paso, IL who finished
second.

hottest driver in all of racing over the last week. Heading into the opener
of the Ironman 55 weekend on Friday night at I-55 Raceway, the veteran had
won in four straight starts over a six-day span.
