For the 1^st time of the 2009 season Dustin Selvage found his way to victory lane after a strange feature.. As Selvage flew by the flag stand for the final lap, the right side panel tore apart from the wing. A portion of it struck flagman Justin Clark and he fell to the back of the flag stand as the race quickly went red. He was momentarily stunned but was able to get to his feet. Sammy Swindell won the Friday qualifying feature at the 49th Annual Super Clean Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil on Friday, August 14. The win was worth $5,000 and he set a new track record for 20 laps in the process. It was his 42nd win at the track.

Jayson Ditsworth made a late race pass to capture the 305 sprint feature at the 34 raceway Saturday night August 1.	Dave "Beef" Anderson on the hammer at the 34 Raceway. Beef followed up a heat win with a fifth place feature finish in a strong field of 305 sprinters 8-1-09.
Gary Russell won his second IMCA late model feature in a row at the 34 Raceway on August 1. Promoter Jeff Laue presented Russell with the winners trophy.	Keith Pratt, Sam Halstead, and Tom Goble had a spirited duel for the second spot in the late model feature at the 34 raceway 8-1-09. Goble in the 69 won the battle, with Pratt following him and Halstead settling for fourth.
Rich Smith won the IMCA modified feature at the 34 Raceway Saturday night August 1. Joining Smith is track promoter Jeff Laue
