B-MOD SHOOTOUT RESCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 13 AT 24 RACEWAY
by: Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway, Moberly, MO

MOBERLY, MO (Sept 6) - The 6th annual Moberly Motors B-modified Championship Shootout, sponsored by MHC Kenworth of Columbia, that was scheduled for last Sat. night, Sept 6, at 24 Raceway, is now rescheduled to next weekend Sept 13. The rains, that weren't much of a chance to come thru on Saturday night, simply assembled into a rain pattern that just kept sprinkling on the track after much preparation went into getting this event in. Next Saturday at the intermission, the 2008 trophies will be presented to the top ten finishers in points for each of the five classes of A-mods, Moberly Motors B-modifieds, MFA Oil / Break Time Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, and 4 cyl. Hornets for the season. The driver or car owner must be present to receive their trophy.

The S.S. Autosports Allstar race, originally set for this coming weekend Sept. 13, may be scheduled for a later date.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
Sept 13 - Bob Hubert Memorial B-modified Championship Shootout sponsored by MHC Kenworth of Columbia (along with the other 4 classes from the weekly racing program). Special 30 lap format

season trophy presentations at intermission
Sept 20 - 360 Fall Classic w/ Winged Outlaw Warriors' 360 cubic inch Sprints, 360 cubic inch Moberly Motors B-modifieds and 360 cubic inch Hobby Stocks (all 5 classes plus Sprints will be racing)

PROMO: This coming week September 13 at 24 Raceway, MHC Kenworth of Columbia will be sponsoring the 6th annual Moberly Motors B-modified Championship Shootout with it's custom format of 30 laps in two segments. The new 2009 Kenworth T 660 over-the-road tractor is sheduled to be back on the grounds for some up-close viewing, and another new Kenworth road tractor or truck may be on hand also. The sales staff at MHC Kenworth will be around early enough to answer any questions prospective buyers might pose. Look for the tent in the parking lot area at the track's entrance to the grandstands. Please see www.mhccolumbia.com  for more info on Kenworth trucks and truck parts.

The first segment of the B-mod Championship Shootout will be a 20-lap event with the top ten qualifying to move on. A ten minute pit stop for fuel and adjustments to that group of drivers placing one through ten will preceed a redraw for their starting positions. The second segment of the B-modified race will see those ten qualifying drivers then going full tilt for another ten laps. It's 10 laps, 10 B-mod racecars & $1000 to the winner! Join in watching these B-mods light up the track this coming Saturday night!

Admission for Saturday, September 6th is $15 to the grandstand for adults, with kids, ages 6 to 12, still only $5 to see the 6th annual Bob Hubert Memorial B-Modified Championship Shootout and the other four classes of A-mods, MFA Oil / Break Time Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, and 4 cyl. Hornets race, with 30 laps for the B-modifieds in their special format. Rates for the popular Family Pass will be $35, which includes admission to the grandstands for 2 adults and 3 children, ages 6 to 12. Kids under 6 are always free. The grandstands and pits will open at 4 p.m. A pit pass is $25. Hot laps begin at 6:15 following a short drivers' meeting. Plenty of door prizes are given away to both adults and kids alike in the grandstands each and every Saturday night. "Dirt Track Racing at its Best" will take place again, September 13th at 7pm at 24 Raceway, east of Moberly, Missouri on U.S. Highway 24. Additional photos can be seen at www.24racewayinmoberly.com  on the forum site, with the results available at www.speednetdirect.com/results  as well as below. The standard rain-out policy is in place for the grandstand tickets. Present your ticket stub from last Saturday night's admission for getting in this week. They are numbered and the range of those numbers purchased last week, are what will get the ticket holder in this week.
