Summer Series at 34 Raceway rescheduled; sprints to kick off 2006 season

West Burlington, IA (April 10, 2006) - Although the recent rains in southeast Iowa were a welcome sight for area farmers, area race fans were forced to wait another week for the season opener at 34 Raceway.

The Ideal Ready Mix and Deery Bros. Summer Series for IMCA Late Models was to open the 2006 season at the local track but heavy rains last week made for wet grounds and forced officials to postpone the event until April 22. So this week, April 15 will be the season opener at 34 when the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders make their first of five appearances on the 3/8 track, presented by Ideal Ready Mix and The Hawk Eye. Also running Saturday night will be IMCA Modifieds and Hobby Stocks.

Pit gates will open at 4:00, grandstand gates at 5:00, hot laps at 6:30 and racing to begin at 7:00.
