34 Raceway Set for Saturday

BURLINGTON, IA (Sept. 8, 2006) – As the most competitive season in Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders history draws to a close, two drivers’ hopes are still alive to raise the championship banner.

Matt Sutton, who is in search of his first series title, currently holds a 54-point advantage over 2002 champion Ryan Jamison. Under the series points structure, Jamison can still earn 340 points for a Feature win and a Heat Race win. Thus, without earning Heat Race points, Sutton can average a third-place finish over the final two events and still earn the title.

Randy Plath, Jerrod Hull, and Matt Rogerson own victories in the last three 34 Raceway events. Plath became the fifth first-time winner of 2006.
