Pepsi USA Nationals Deery at 34 rescheduled for Sept. 28

WEST BURLINGTON, IA (Sept. 15) – The Pepsi USA Nationals Deery Brothers Summer Series event at 34 Raceway has been rescheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28.

Rained out from Sept. 12-13, the final event in the 2008 tour for IMCA J & J Steel Late Models will pay $5,000 to win, $1,000 in lap money and a minimum of $250 to qualify. Twenty-six cars will comprise the starting field for the 50-lapper. Second place will pay $2,000, with $1,000 for third, $750 for fourth, $650 for fifth and $450 for sixth. Non-qualifiers get $75. Entry fee for the draw/re-draw show is $50 and all competitors must have a current
2008 IMCA license.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. with the first heat race set for 6 p.m.

Also on the Sunday show will be the $750 Ironman Challenge, open to all of the 17 drivers with perfect attendance through the series’ first 16 events.
No time trials will be held. Four cylinders are also on the program.
