2nd annual Mikešs Auto Parts Stock Car and Hobby Stock Nationals at 34 Raceway


WEST BURLINGTON, IA (Sept. 15) - Stock Car and Hobby Stock fans will see the best in stock car and hobby stock racing at 34 Raceway on Saturday, Sept. 20 during the 2nd Annual Mikešs Auto Parts IMCA Stock Car and Hobby Stock Nationals.

Also competing will be the IMCA Modifieds in their final race of the 2008 season.

$1200 will go to the winner of the IMCA Stock Car feature with $100 to
start. $1000 will go to the winner of the hobby stock feature with $75 to
start. A $50 entry fee is required for both classes. Both Stock Cars (under IMCA Stock Car Rule) and Hobby Stocks (under 34 Raceway rules) will run heat races and a 35 lap feature to compete for the big money.

In 2007 113 cars competed in 3 classes of action that also included 4 cylinder racing. 40 stock cars and 40 hobby stocks competed for a qualifying spots in the feature events. New Londonšs Jeff Mueller came away with the $1200 to win prize wining the twenty five car, IMCA Stock Car feature.
Danvillešs John Oliver, Jr. took the lead with five laps to go to win the $1000 to win hobby stock feature. Will a local favorite take the checkered flags this year, youšll have to come see.
