An event you’ve all been waiting for…. This historic USAC doubleheader invades 34 Raceway for the most thrilling non-wing sprint car/midget event since 1989. It’s been 21 years since USAC has competed at 34 and will mark the first time the two USAC series have EVER competed in a doubleheader on dirt in the Hawkeye state. Jesse Hockett of Warsaw, MO was the winner of the 2009 “Ultimate USAC Challenge” at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. “I think it’ll be an awesome event for non-wing cars. The track has banking and you can build a lot of momentum and a lot of speed around the top. There will be plenty of side-by-side racing, that’s for sure. I raced there in May of 2009 at the 410 IRA Sprint car event and came from dead last to finish second. It’s a real racy track.” Commented Jesse Hockett when asked about competing at 34 Raceway this up coming season.

A special event planned for the following night, May 22nd, is in the works, but has not been determined exactly who’s faces you will see… Keeping you in suspense, until approximately mid March! Reserve a space on your calendars for this “historic” event, never been held at
34 Raceway in years past!!!

Labor Day weekend events at 34 Raceway have not been confirmed as of yet… but we are tentatively looking forward to the return of the 410 IRA Outlaw Sprints to the schedule for that weekends racing events… More info to come once the series has confirmed the potential date.

The season finale…. Locks up on Saturday, September 25th, with the 1st ever appearance and championship of the IMCA Modified Hawkeye Dirt Tour paying $1500 to win. For more information regarding the Hawkeye Dirt Tour, please visit www.DIRTTOUR.com

In cooperation with Simmons Promotions, IMCA and West Liberty Raceway, SPI will host six IMCA latemodel events throughout the 2010 racing season at West Liberty. The IMCA latemodels are invited to race at West Liberty for six IMCA sanctioned events during off Saturday nights at 34 Raceway. These events will be held on April 24, May 8 & 15, June 12 & 26, July 10 and August 21. We're looking forward to some exciting new faces to the IMCA latemodel series and welcome new family and friends to 34 Raceway!
