Zeitner, Carlson, Zadina, and Yearington Top Action at Adams County Speedway

CORNING, Ia (June 3, 2006) - Saturday night the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at the Adams County Speedway held Cellular 29 Plus and Lyrix Wireless kid痴 money grab night. After a night of competitive racing, there have now been 18 winners in 20 feature events. Corey Zeitner, Jerry Carlson, Joe Zadina and Kevin Yearington all added their names to the list of 2006 winners.

Glenn Orr paced the early laps of the NAPA hobby stock feature with the pack scrabbling behind him to see who would take a shot at the lead. Kevin Yearington was able to get through traffic and take over the top spot with Les Helvie and Matt Hudson coming up to second and third. Yearington held off all challenges including coming off of turn four to the checkered when Helvie got to the outside and scraped along the wall, only to lose by a half a car length. Yearington and Helvie were followed to the checkered by Hudson, Jim Tull and Brad Bergren.

Scott Bond lead early in the Northland Oil pro street feature and held off several attempts by Mike Garner to take the lead. Garner finally got the lead away from Bond, only to lose his own struggle for the lead to Joe Zadina. Once Zadina got the lead, Ron Ballinger came to second but could not mount the challenge required to pass Zadina as Zadina got his first Northland Oil pro street win. Zadina and Ballinger were chased to the checkered by Garner, Bond, and Greg Miller.

Jerry Carlson claimed the lead of the Budweiser modified feature and made it very clear that the only battle would be who would finish second. Jesse Dennis held that runner up spot until late in the race when John O誰eal, Jr. was able to shoot by to claim the spot. Carlson had more than enough to secure the win with O誰eal, Dennis, Brian Foote, and Dan Mueller rounding out the top five.

Troy McKee and Scott Koskovich wrestled for the early lead in the Dodge late model feature with McKee leading a lap and Koskovich leading a couple. Corey Zeitner came on fast to spoil their battle and blow into the lead. Zeitner was able to stay up front the rest of the way and even powered away from the pack on a few cautions to take the win with Joe Kosiski, Koskovich, Ed Kosiski and Al Zeitner rounding out the top five.
