Spieker, Stiens, Pitzer and Parker are winners at Adams County Speedway

CORNING, Ia. (June 10, 2006) - Saturday was Precision Pulley and Idler night for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at the Adams County Speedway. Chris Spieker notched his fourth Dodge late model win, Kirby Stiens grabbed his second Budweiser modified feature, Rick Pitzer took his second Northland Oil pro street win, and Jerry Parker became the tracks 19th different feature winner of the season by taking his first NAPA hobby stock feature.

Bryant Goldsmith launched from his third starting position to take command of the Dodge late model feature but on the third lap, mechanical problems ended his run at the front. Karl Ritterbusch took over from there and led until 7 laps to go when Chris Spieker slid into the lead. Spieker grabbed the win, followed closely by Jason O’Brien, Joe Kosiski, Ritterbusch and Mike Whitehead.

Trent Jackson jumped out to the early lead in the Budweiser modified feature and looked to have what it took to lead all the way, but one slight bobble was all it took to lose the lead. Jackson slid just a little too high in one corner, allowing Kirby Stiens the opening he needed to shoot to the lead. Once in front, Stiens had no problem keeping distance between himself and the rest of the field as he secured his second win of the season ahead of Jackson, Chris Hogan, Dan Mueller and Brian Foote.

Tony Hardisty took the lead from his third starting position in the Northland Oil pro street feature, then suffered the same fate as Bryant Goldsmith in the Dodge late model feature. As the field came to green following a caution period, Hardisty rolled to a stop in turn 3, giving the lead to Rick Pitzer on the next restart. Pitzer held on for his second win of the season ahead of a three-wide last lap battle for second which saw Joe Zadina complete his charge from 24th starting position to take second ahead of Mike Garner, Dave Schafroth and Steve Churchill.

Brad Derry secured the top spot at the start of the NAPA hobby stock feature only to yield the position to Jerry Parker a short time later. Parker then held off Jim Tull five or six laps until Tull pulled to the lead. On the final lap, though, Parker returned the favor, passing Tull down the backstretch to take the win to continue a string of six different winners in six NAPA hobby stock features. Parker and Tull were followed at the finish by Derry, Matt Hudson, and Cory Luther.
