Jan Howard Set For USCS Double Header At Magnolia Motor Speedway

MARION, AR (March 23) - Jan Howard will enter his first official events of the 2010 season this Friday and Saturday at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.

For the 2010 season, Jan has joined Stinson Motorsports and will be piloting the #46s Stinson Industrial/Brim’s Snack Foods/J&J/Wesmar Racing Engine Winged Sprint Car and will be a teammate to Jon Stinson, who will pilot the #26s Sprinter.

The team planned to open the season last Saturday at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas, but after the event fell victim to rain, they traveled to Moulton Speedway in Moulton, Alabama to have a little fun in the team’s Open Wheel Modified.  Jan would retire early in the feature to an 18th place finish.

This weekend Jan will enter his first Sprint Car events of the year at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.  The USCS Sprint Car Series will be sanctioning a double header at the 1/3 mile oval, which is tabbed as the “Black Ice” due to its tendency to get extremely slick during the course of the race night.  For more information on the events, please visit www.MagnoliaMotorSpeedway.net and www.USCSRacing.com
