Billy Moyer Jr. Returns To The Scene of the Crime at Riverside
By: Ben Shelton

BATESVILLE, Arkansas (04/05/10) – This weekend Nature, Billy Moyer Jr. will return to the scene of his first special event win as he takes his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Chassis/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle in a pair of COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model events.

Coming into last year’s inaugural visit to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, Billy Moyer Jr. had flirted with victory lane with the COMP Cams MSRA tour on several occasions, but always managed to fall a little short in his efforts.  However, Moyer Jr. would finally seal the deal in April of 2009 at Riverside as he led the last 200 feet to take the win in front of an enthusiastic crowd.  The win gave Moyer Jr. momentum that led him to the 2009 COMP Cams MSRA Championship.  This Saturday, he will return to the scene of the crime.

This weekend will get underway for Jr. Motorsports on Friday, April 9th at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas with a $2,000 to win/$300 to start, COMP Cams MSRA event at the ¼ mile, clay oval.  On Saturday night, April 10th the action shifts east to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win/$400 to start event.  Both events will be sanctioned by the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model tour.  For more information, please visit www.MSRADirt.com, www.BeebeSpeedway.com, and www.RiversideInternationalSpeedway.com

Billy has been close to victory lane on several occasions at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama, but has never been able to seal the deal.  He will look to turn this all around this Saturday night as he enters the $2,500 to win/$250 to start event, which will be co-sanctioned by the P.R.O. Dirt Car Series Super Late Models and the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series Super Late Models.  For more information on the event, please visit www.NorthAlabamaSpeedway.com, www.PRODirtCarSeries.com, and www.NeSmithRacing.com

Last weekend after having the Crate Late Models at Batesville Motor Speedway nixed by Mother Nature, Billy decided to travel to Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, Tennessee on Saturday night for an unsanctioned, $2,000 to win event. With 22 Super Late Models on hand, Billy blazed to the fastest time of the night to earn the pole position for the feature event as he started alongside Anthony Burroughs. At the drop of the green flag, Billy bolted to the lead and would maintain the top spot for the first 12 laps before losing the lead to Burroughs in heavy lapped traffic. Moyer Jr. would chase Burroughs for the next several laps before disaster struck for the leader, when a lapped car tried to abruptly exit the track, collecting Burroughs and a few other cars. Moyer Jr. was able to avoid the incident and reassumed the top spot. Despite missing the accident, Billy's luck would run out as he broke a rocker arm on the restart bringing his night to a disappointing end.

Billy Moyer Jr. is also proud to announce that his brand new t-shirts are now available and can be viewed and purchased by going to his website at www.BillyMoyerJr.com .  The shirts will also be available this weekend at North Alabama Speedway at the team’s hauler.
