Billy Moyer Jr. Sweeps Away MSRA Foes in Double Header

BATESVILLE, ARK (April 13, 2010) – Billy Moyer Jr. made a clean sweep of the competition over the weekend as he drove his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Chassis/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to back-to-back feature wins in COMP Cams MSRA action.

Billy Moyer Jr. had a career weekend as he picked up back-to-back, $2,000 wins with the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model tour on Friday and Saturday.  The action kicked off on Friday with a $2,000 to win event at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. Twenty-three Super Late Models entered the event, and Billy won his heat race to earn the fourth starting spot for the 30 lap affair.  He would avoid near disaster on the first lap when the front row starters got together in the first corner resulting in a multi-car crash. He managed to miss the incident and was moved up to the outside front row for the ensuing restart.  For the first two laps, Billy and Dane Dacus would battle side-by-side for the lead before Moyer Jr. cleared him and went on to lead the entire event en route to the $2,000 payday!

On Saturday night, Jr. Motorsports traveled to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas for another $2,000 to win, COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event. After starting 5th in his heat race, he charged to a 2nd place finish.  Via passing points he earned the fourth starting spot for the 40 lap feature.  He would move up to the second spot early in the feature, before overtaking early leader Joey Mack for the lead on lap seven.  He would survive a scare on lap 12 as a lapped car inadvertently forced him down the track allowing Jeff Floyd to slip by for the lead. However, six laps later he would drive back around Floyd for the top spot and never looked back en route to his second win in as many nights!  Full results can be found at www.MSRADirt.com

This weekend Billy will enter a pair of Crate Late Model events at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas.  The Bad Moyers and Isle of Capri sponsored events will see separate programs for the Crate Late Models held on Friday and Saturday night.  For more information, please visit www.BatesvilleMotorSpeedway.net
