(Bill W) June 4, 2010 – The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders and the Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois are announcing that on Sunday, August 1, they will contest the Title-Kitchen Cooked Sprint Car Summer Shootout. The event will mark the fourth appearance in series’ history at the track dubbed “The Finest and Fastest Quarter Mile Dirt Track in Illinois”. It will be the first appearance for the Sprint Invaders since 2006, when “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison picked up a win there in July. Bobby Mincer (2004) and Jerrod Hull (2005) have also won feature events in Peoria. Sponsors include Kitchen Cooked, Hooter’s, Buskirk Tree and Born Paint Company. Also competing will be the Illinois Outlaw Lightning Sprints, Modifieds ($1000 to win) and Hornets ($300 to win). Grandstands will open at 4:30 p.m., with hot laps at 5:30 and racing at 6 p.m. Advanced tickets can be purchased at www.SprintCarSummerShootout.com!
