KIRKLAND TAKES FIRST EVER WIN AND SCHRADER MAKES FIRST EVER APPERANCE AT THE MOUNTAIN-DEW BLOOMFIELD SPEEDWAY

BLOOMFIELD, IA (Aug. 3) - Racing action at the Mountain-Dew Bloomfield Speedway was sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Memphis Bottling with special guest driver Ken Schrader of Concord,NC. in action in the open wheel modified division sponsored by Red Baron Pizza to take on the cars and stars of the O`Reilly Auto Parts USMTS drivers.

In the Kollision Korner Hornet feature looked to have a first ever winner going to victory lane but the last lap his right front wheel would come off going into turn one giving the lead to Yahnke of Bloomfield taking his third win of the 2007 season.

In the USRA stock car division Chris Hawkins of Drakesville lead all 18 laps holding off several attemps from Kurt Krauskopf who made the 4 hour pull to the Bloomfield Speedway and took home the runner-up spot.

In the 360 9:1B-Modifieds Ray Lundry of Maynard pulled over 3-1/2 hours to race and made it pay off winning the feature holding off Andrew Schroeder who took the second spot.

In the USRA hobby stock feature Derek Kirkland of Centerville scored his first ever feature win. Kirkland would thrill the crowd after taking the checkers by doing a burnout and roof dance in victory lane.Don Nunikhoven took the second spot with Rick Metcalf who battled for the lead early took third and Mike Shelton taking fourth.

Next week will be Back To School night with all kids 11 and under getting in free sponsored by Slayton Polaris with Casey`s General Stores Weekly Racing Series with five classes in action.
