RON BOYSE PICKS UP FIRST 2006 FEATURE WIN

COLUMBUS JUNCTION (June 9, 2006) - Ron Boyse picked up his first 2006 feature win in the late model division with Geoffrey Theobald taking his second 4 Cylinder feature, Mike Rees his fourth hobby stock win, Brandon Jay his second IMCA win, and Rod Summy his third CJ Cruiser win. The kids were treated to a
candy dash at intermission sponsored by Triple D Motorsports along with a bike giveaway and other prizes.

Ron Boyse held off Matt Bodman to pick up his first 2006 feature win in the Pepsi late model feature. Boyse had the lead by lap 1 and led the entire feature. On lap 3 Bodman was in second with Jeff Guengerich in third while Jody Metzger was running in fourth and Mick Wiele in fifth when contact was made on the fronstretch, sending Metzger around and into the wall and fence in turn 1. On the restart it's Boyse, Bodman, and Guengerich and that's how they would take the checkers.

James Malcom was out front in the 4 Cylinder feature with Geoffrey Theobald in second and Darin Smith in third before Smith slipped back many spaces and moved Brian Tipps into third. Coming around for lap 6 they came three wide out of turn 4 with Theobald taking the lead. Tipps, TJ Garrison, Alex Buffington, and Malcom continued racing three and four wide behind Theobald who picked up his second feature win with Tipps taking second and Garrison third at the checkers.

Michael Frank, II led the first three laps of the hobby stock feature before Mike Rees took the point with Jeremy Tompkins following in second. Tompkins challenged Rees for the lead for the remainder of the race getting beside him in turns 3 and 4, but not able to make the pass stick. On the last lap Tompkins lost it in turn 2, loosing two places. Rees picks up his fourth feature win, Mike Cassabaum takes second, and Frank, II follows in third.

Brandon Jay led the entire IMCA feature picking up his second feature win. Travis Finke was in second with Shelly Mizell in third and Aaron Summy in fourth. Summy and Mizell made contact coming out of turn 4 with Summy taking third. One lap later Finke blew, moving Summy into second. Jay takes the win with Summy in second, breaking the three way tie in points, and Tad Payne finishes third.

Bob Schwab led the CJ Cruiser feature with Rod Summy in second and Billy Faler in third. Schwab went high, losing three places and moving Summy into first with Faler in second and Brett Timmerman in third. One lap later, Timmerman pulled a caution in turn 3, sending him to the rear. On the restart it's Summy, Faler, and Schwab for the next three laps. Coming around for the checkers, Faler took Summy out going for the win, ending the race on the white flag lap with Faler going to the rear. Summy takes the win, Schwab takes second, and Matt Gomez finishes in third.
