DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 15) - Less than springlike temperatures and forecasts calling for a 90 percent chance of precipitation have resulted in rescheduling of Friday's Deery Brothers Summer Series race at Davenport Speedway. The IMCA Late Model tour event will be held during the Friday, Sept. 9 All-Star Classic on the half-mile track and pay $3,000 to win. Terry Neal will now take the series point lead to the Saturday, April 16 Deery show at Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa. Quad City Speedway at East Moline, Ill., hosts the second half of what is now a weekend doubleheader on Sunday, April 17. The 'Partnering For A Purpose' cookout at Brad Deery Motors in Maquoketa on Saturday has also been canceled due to poor weather conditions. The first cookout is now scheduled for Wednesday, June 29 at Dan Deery Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Waterloo, in conjunction with the series event that evening at Independence Motor Speedway.
