MCDANIEL AND DICKEY TAKE TWO IN ROW AT ELDON RACEWAY

ELDON, IA (May 31) - A great night for racing action with sunshine and no
race the racing action was exciting and the night was sponsored by Winger
Company of Ottumwa with all five classes in action. The first feature was
the USRA b-mods with Andrew Schroder of Keswick took his first win at Eldon
and second of the 2008 season. The runner-up spot went to last weeks winner
Paul Underwood of Ottumwa and Brandyn Martin of Eldon in third and Mike
Shelton of Bloomfield in fourth.
The mini-stock feature saw a pair of 77 cars take the top two spots with
David Probasco in the 77P taking the win with last weeks winner John Whalen
of Ainsworth in the 77 taking second with Ottumwa driver Jim Garrett racing
his way to third and Larry Hopkins of Ottumwa in fourth.
The A-modifieds saw the driver Scott Dickey of Packwood piloting the
Larry Shawn Chassie and Dickey Transport sponsored number 40 to victory lane
for the second straight week. Dickey lead all ten laps for the win over
Altoona driver Greg Cox and Bloomfield driver Jeremy Townsend taking third
and Eldon driver Dustin Clark in fourth.
The final feature of the night was the USRA hobby stock main event with
Don Nunnikhoven of Kellogg taking the lead and lead till lap thirteen before
making contact with the turn one wall ending his run to victory on the back
of the wrecker. This setup a green, white and checker finish with Jason
McDaniel of eldon taking the win. Dan Thompson of Batavia in second with
Rick Metcalf of Selam in third and Bob Lynch taking the fourth spot.
Next week will be Libertyville Savings Bank Night at the Eldon Raceway
with hot laps at 7:00 and racing action at 7:30.
