ZIMMERMAN FORD/MEDIACOM MID-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS FRIDAY

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (June 21, 2006) - This Friday night, June 23 officially marks the halfway point of the 2006 season at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. Zimmerman Ford and Mediacom will present racing in all six divisions.

In addition, Mediacom will be taping the races for later broadcast on the Mediacom Connections channel.

Most of the Papa Johns Cup/ I Wireless Championhsip points races remain very close at the mid-point of the season.

In Performance Concepts ASA Late Models, Kyle Hinrichs holds a slim one point lead over Scott Wennermark. Jeff King sits just ten points behind the
leader in third.

Last weeks’ winner Andy Duggan is tied for the points lead with Dave McCalla in the Budweiser Sportsmen division. Ross Zumbach and Martin Ballard
are tied for third in the extremely close race.

The Miller Time Modifieds point chase is led by defending champion Tim Plummer. He holds a sixteen point cushion over Arlo Becker with Rodney Rocarek
just two points behind Becker.

The quarter-mile divisions have some close point races as well with the Barron Motor Supply IMCA Stock Cars race the closest. Randy Filling has a scant
one point lead over both Brad Dvorak and Bob Ahrendsen. Logan Hale is next in line, just eight points behind the leader.

Rodney Grother has a nine point edge on Tim Dains in the Barron Motor Supply IMCA Hobby Stocks, which is part of the Full Throttle Energy Drink Stars
of Tomorrow program. Terry Shaffar sits in third, twelve points behind the leader Grother.

Nathan Ballard has put a healthy margin between himself and the rest of the field in the Sunline Hornets. Ballards three feature wins have earned him a
substantial lead in that division. Derrick Beadle sits in second with Jeff Ballard in third.

Grandstand Gates open and Practice starts at 6pm with Racing scheduled for 7pm.
