HOCHSTETLER TOWING PRESENTS HAWKEYE DOWNS RACING THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
24 LUCKY WINNERS WILL TAKE HOME A NEW BICYCLE COURTESY OF HOCHSTETLER TOWING


CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (July 28, 2010) - Hochstetler Towing, the “Official Towing Service of Hawkeye Downs Speedway,” is set to present racing in the Papa Johns Cup/I-Wireless Championship Series this Friday night after last Friday nights’ events fell victim to rain.

Performance Concepts Late Models, Speed-e-Pan Sportsmen, and Budweiser Modifieds will take to the fast Hawkeye Downs half-mile while Barron Motor Supply IMCA Stock Cars, Barron Motor Supply IMCA Hobby Stocks, Coca-Cola IMCA SportMods, and Sunline Hornets will mix it up on the quarter-mile.
In addition to sponsoring the races, Hochstetler Towing will also be doing their annual bicycle giveaway and this year it’s even bigger and better! Twenty-Four lucky winners will take home bikes courtesy of Hochstetler Towing.

Fans will want to be on hand to see if Norway driver Tim Plummer can continue his winning ways in both Performance Concepts Late Models and Budweiser Modifieds. Plummer continues to lead the points in both divisions.

Other point leaders include Nathan Ballard in Barron Motor Supply IMCA Hobby Stocks, Bob Ahrendsen in Barron Motor Supply IMCA Stocks Cars, and Dallas Chandler in Sunline Hornets.

The Cedar Valley Street Rods will also be on the grounds south of the Grandstand before the races with their cars on display.

The Front Gate opens at 6pm with Hot Laps slated for 6:35 pm. Pre-Race Ceremonies including the Hanford American Legion Post #5 Color Guard will begin at 7:15pm with the first race at 7:30pm.
Adult admission is still just $10, Senior Citizens (62+) are $7, Students over 12 are just $5, and new for 2010-College Students are just $5 with a valid ID. Children 12 and Under are absolutely FREE!
