CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (April 4, 2011) - Week two of competition in the Papa Johns Cup/ I-Wireless Championship Series is set for Hawkeye Downs Speedway this Friday night, May 6 with action in all six divisions. Innovative Signs- Your One Stop Sign Source, presents a full night of action with Performance Concepts Late Models, Coca-Cola Sportsmen, Budweiser Modifieds, Barron Motor Supply Hobby Stocks, Sunline Hornets, and McGrath Powersports INEX Legend Cars taking to the track. This week also marks the return of the “Promoters Choice Trophy Dash” sponsored by Innovative Signs! This week, six drivers will be selected from the Sunline Hornets Division by Hawkeye Downs Promoter Mike Becker to run the six-lap dash. It’s also the I-Wireless Lil’ Racer Car Club “Flowers for Mom” night in honor of Mothers Day, which is this Sunday. Kids will want to visit the i-Wireless Lil’ Racers Car Club table under the main Grandstand to sign up for the free club and see what other activities are in store for them in 2011! The Front Gate opens at 6pm with Hot Laps slated for 6:35 pm. Pre-Race Ceremonies will begin at 7:15pm with the first race at 7:30pm. Hawkeye Downs is pleased to have the Hanford American Legion Post #5 Color Guard taking part in Pre-Race Ceremonies again in 2011. Adult admission is still just $10, Senior Citizens (62+) are $7, Students over 12 are just $5, College Students are just $5 with a valid ID and Children 12 and Under are absolutely FREE!
