Buena Vista Raceway opens season with March 30 Frost Buster 
Chassis Challenge
ALTA, Iowa (March 24) – The Frost Buster Chassis Challenge special gets the new 
season started at Buena Vista Raceway, with four IMCA divisions on the Friday, 
March 30 program.
First place in the Modified main event pays $1,000, with the winner added to the 
ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational during the IMCA Speedway Motors 
Super Nationals. Top prize for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is $700, with $300 
paid to win in both the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and IMCA Sunoco Hobby 
Stock classes.
IMCA national, home region and Smiley’s Racing Products state points will be 
awarded.
All three features will start 24 cars, with a minimum of $100 paid to make the 
Modified grid. Tow money for non-qualifiers is $60 for Modifieds, $50 for Stocks 
and $40 for SportMods and Hobbies.
Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m., hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. and racing starts at 6 
p.m. sharp.
Adult grandstand admission is $15, students 11-17 are $9 and kids 10 and under 
will be admitted free with a paid adult. Pit passes are $25.
Fourteen chassis builders are co-sponsors for the Frost Buster, with a $300 
check going to the manufacturer of the winning Modified entry.
