Karl Chevrolet to Reward IMCA Crate Engine Winners in 2008 ANKENY, IA (Jan 16) – Using GM Performance Parts Crate Engines pays. And now it will pay even more for competitors in the IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod division. Karl Chevrolet has signed on to continue as title sponsor of the IMCA Northern SportMod division. As an enhancement to their involvement in the Northern SportMod division, they have announced that during the 2008 season feature winners who utilize the GM Performance Parts 602 Crate Engines will receive an additional reward. “We have been involved with IMCA’s Northern SportMod division since it inception in 2005, and are excited to be the title sponsor for the fourth straight year,” said Chuck Stowe, GM Performance Parts representative at Karl Chevrolet. “Continued support of Crate Engine racing with IMCA is important to us. As title sponsor we look for ways to enhance our association with such a great racing association as IMCA,” added Stowe. The use of GM Performance Parts Crate Engines is a growing trend. To continue that momentum with IMCA, Karl Chevrolet has announced that during the 2008 IMCA Northern SportMod season it will award any competitor who wins a feature event using a GM Performance Parts Crate Engine purchased through Karl Chevrolet with a contingency certificate valued at $100. “Winners of the $100 certificate can come into the dealership and use it to purchase parts, items from our Pro Shop, GM Accessories – they can even use it to toward the purchase price of a new vehicle,” stated Carl Moyer, avid race fan and owner of Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny, IA. If recipients of the certificate are not able visit the dealership, they can use the certificate to purchase parts from the new Karl Performance Parts website at www.karlperformanceparts.com The new website is dedicated solely to GM Performance Parts.
