Familiar venues next for Jackpot Junction Sprint Car Tour

ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 18) – The two most familiar venues on the series circuit are next on the schedule for the Jackpot Junction Tour, as IMCA KSE Racing Products Sprint Car events headline programs Arlington Raceway on Saturday, May 24 and at Red wood Speedway in Redwood Falls on Sunday, May 25.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. at Arlington. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. At Redwood, pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m., with hot laps set for 5 p.m. and racing at 6 p.m.

Grandstand admission both nights is $12 for adults and $5 for kids.
Youngsters five and under are admit ted free. Pit passes are $22.

IMCA national, special series, Smiley’s Racing Products State and local track points will be awarded for each program.

Arlington has hosted 28 events in 11-plus seasons, more than any other track, and Redwood is close behind with 26.

Both tracks saw sweeps last season, as Jason Tostenson of Gaylord made three trips to the winner’s circle at Arlington and Curt Lund of Redwood Falls matched the feat at his hometown speedplant.

Jay Rickert of Glencoe became a first-time tour winner in the 2008 season opener on May 9 at Jackson Speed way.

After the Arlington-Redwood doubleheader, the series makes its debut at Worthington’s Nobles County Speedway on Friday, June 6.
