Marshalltown Speedway hosts 13th annual
American Stock Car Shootout June 30-July 1


MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 24) – Entries are already in hand from drivers across Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, for the Monday, June 30- Tuesday, July 1 American Stock Car Shootout at Marshalltown Speedway.

Total purse for the 13th annual event is more than $30,000. IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features will be held both nights and pay $1,250 to win, a minimum of $150 to start and $75 tow. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for top prizes of $500 both nights, along with a minimum of $75 to qualify and $50 tow.

An overall Stock Car Shootout champion will be determined by points earned at the two-day event and that driver becomes eligible to qualify for the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals in September.

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods join the first night card, with first place paying $200. IMCA Modifieds chase a top check of $500 on Tuesday.

National, home region and Smiley’s Racing Products State points will be awarded each evening.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Monday and at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Grandstands open at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. both days.

Grandstand admission on Monday is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under when accompanied by a paying adult. Tuesday admission is
$15 for adults and again $5 for accompanied kids 12 and under. Pit passes are $25 each night. Camping sites with electrical hookups are available at the fairgrounds for $10 a night.
