Deery Series pole starters earn prizes from Performance Engineering and Manufacturing

ST. CLAIR, Mo. (April 12) – Pole starters at all events in the 24th annual Deery Brothers Summer Series receive contingency awards from Performance Engineering and Manufacturing.

A set of quick change gears goes to the driver taking the initial green flag from the pole in each IMCA Late Model tour main event.

Todd Malmstrom received the PEM prize for the series opener April 10 at 34 Raceway. Darrel DeFrance took the green flag from inside the front row when making the 335th feature start of his Deery career at Quincy Raceway the next night.

Two PEM decals must be displayed on the race car for drivers to be eligible; certificates will be mailed from the IMCA home office the week following each series event.

Now located in St. Clair, Mo., the company manufactures drive train components, 9 inch Ford gears and gun drilled axles in addition to quick change gears. More information about those products is available by calling 636 629-6200 and at the www.pemracing.com website.

"Every driver wants to start on the front row of the feature, and now with the PEM program entering its third season it pays dividends even more,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “With the series getting more competitive every year, I anticipate that the revolving door of pole starters will continue this season."

Three Deery events are on the docket this weekend, at Davenport Speedway on April 16, at Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa on April 17 and at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on April 18.
