Finishline Racing Products awards go to claimed drivers in three IMCA divisions

SAC CITY, Iowa (May 5) – The business that sells “everything racing” is a new sponsor for three IMCA divisions.

IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock drivers accepting engine claims this season receive $50 product certificates from Finishline Racing Products of Sac City, Iowa.

Also a dealer for Aero Race Wheels and Brad Penn Oil, Finishline retails a wide variety of racing-related items ranging from tires to bumper to bumper parts, safety equipment and fastening devices. In addition, Finishline carries alky and 110 and 114 octane Sunoco fuel in bulk on the trailer and at the store.

“We’ve offer just about everything that goes under the hood or goes on the trailer,” said owner and former IMCA Stock Car driver Bret Pugh. “The three divisions in this program are what I grew up with. There’s something special about each of them and this program allows us to give something to drivers in each.”

Kenny Buse, Pugh’s father-in-law, founded the original Buse Mfg. Pitstop business and took a trailer to sell racing products at local dirt tracks.

Pugh and his wife LuAnn purchased, renamed and gave the business a more stationary home three years ago.

“I believe in IMCA’s basic philosophy of racing,” he said. “I think they’ve done the best job of keeping this sport as affordable as possible.”

Certificates will be mailed from the IMCA home office the week after the race and corresponding claim reports are received.

Information about Finishline Racing Products is available by calling Pugh at 712 662-3813.

“Engine claims still have a stigma attached to them and with companies like Finishline Racing Products stepping up and assisting drivers who are the recipient of a claim, it helps get drivers refocused and headed back to the track,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Look for the Finishline trailer to be accessible at many IMCA events throughout 2010."
