Beatrice Speedway gearing up for Spring Nationals

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 12, 2011) – Early entries from more than 90 drivers are in hand and track prep is well under­way for the March 18-19 Spring Nationals special at Beatrice Speedway.

IMCA Modifieds headline Friday and Saturday programs, running in $1,500 to win, minimum $200 to start features that are qualifying events for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational bal­lot.

“We have already been working on the track and will be going morning to night the next week to be ready for a great weekend,” promoter Toby Kruse said. “I have been getting a lot of calls from people asking about Spring Nationals and we’re looking forward to starting the sea­son with great racing in every division.”

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $300 to win both nights. Friday’s show also boasts a $200 to win feature for Mach-1 Sport Com­pacts.

RACEceivers are required in all divisions.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. Friday with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m.

An open practice session for all divisions runs from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 17.

Pit passes are $10 for Thursday’s practice and $25 for Friday and Saturday shows. Grandstand admission each race night is $14 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.
