BARBECK COMMUNICATIONS MODIFIEDS AT MACON SPEEDWAY

MACON, IL (April 12) - The U.M.P. Modified division at Macon Speedway has a new name thanks to sponsorship by local communications experts, BARBECK Communications. BARBECK Communications, with 16 locations in central Illinois, specializes in wireless products and accessories including Motorola radio systems and Verizon cellular. BARBECK also offers wireless broadband service to homes and businesses in the Decatur area.

Macon Speedway welcomes BARBECK Communications and is proud to be associated with a company dedicated to quality products and service. In addition, BARBECK Communications is very active in their local communities through various sponsorships and employee volunteer hours. BARBECK Communications was established in 1998 by Doug Barding and Matthew Beck. The company was founded with 25 employees and today employs 50 talented and dedicated staff members.

U.M.P. Modifieds are a fiercely competitive class of open wheel stock cars pushing the limits of excitement weekly at dirt tracks all across the country. U.M.P. Modifieds are easy to pick out at the track with their unique open wheel design and are governed by very specific rules – such as tire and wheel sizes -- to maintain the affordability and competitiveness of the division. BARBECK Communications Modifieds take to the track at Macon Speedway every Saturday night as well as several special events throughout the summer.

BARBECK Communications staff will be in attendance at nearly all of the 2007 races. BARBECK Communications Night is planned for June 2.

NASCAR Stars Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Macon Speedway in January of 2007. NASCAR Nights are scheduled for May 28, June 14, and July 20. Advance reserve seat tickets will go on sale for May 28 and June 14 on May 1.

Macon Speedway – racing every Saturday Night – is proud to be part of the $100,000 Contingency Connection program for the 2007 season.
