MACON SPEEDWAY THIS WEEK – WELCOME SPRING

MACON, IL (April 18) -  Spring weather has descended upon Central Illinois once again and the team at Macon Speedway is thrilled. Three straight weather cancellations have racers and fans chomping at the bit to take in the action-packed racing at the racy 1/5 mile this Saturday, April 21.

Easter Fun originally scheduled for the April 7 event has been moved forward to this Saturday, complete with candy and prizes for the children. Weekly racing at Macon Speedway features five UMP sanctioned divisions: Late Model, Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock and Hornet. New for 2007 is the addition of the C.A.R.S. Late Models.

Fans and racers in attendance on Opening Night, March 31, will be able to use their tickets and wristbands as “rain checks” for free admission to the April 21 racing program. In addition, any fans with guest passes for the April 7 or April 14 nights of racing will be able to present them on Saturday.
On Saturday, April 21, gates at Macon Speedway will open at 5:00 PM. Racing starts at 7:00.

General Admission is $10.00 for weekly races at Macon Speedway. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $25.
